The Silk Road & Beyond was founded on the simple premise that travel, when done with curiosity and respect, is one of the most transformative experiences we can offer ourselves. We lead small groups deep into the Caucasus, the Levant, Central Asia and beyond.
16 days · Tbilisi, Kazbegi, Borjomi, Vardzia, Yerevan, Goris, Dzoraget & more
16 days · The same beloved route, in the freshness of the Caucasus spring
16 days · High summer in the mountains, vineyards and cave cities
We are not a mass-market tour operator. Every itinerary is small in scale, rich in detail, and led by experts who bring genuine scholarship — not just commentary — to the places we visit.
We believe in slow, immersive travel: staying long enough in a place to understand it, eating where locals eat, and meeting the people who shape these cultures rather than observing them from a bus window.
Our tours are designed for the intellectually curious traveller — those who want context, not just photographs. We partner only with guides, drivers and hotels who share our values of authenticity, sustainability and genuine hospitality.
We create bespoke itineraries within or combining any of our nine regions.
Small groups of 4–10 travellers, led by specialist guides. Choose a departure below, or ask us about a bespoke itinerary combining several regions.
